You either love beets or you hate them – and I love making beet salads! It’s healthy and deliscous but, unfortunately, it can get messy. For some reason I tend to get beet juice on my clothes very often – and as you probably know beet stains are very hard to remove!

But even if they are hard to remove this doesn’t mean that it’s impossible. If you want to remove these pinkish-red stains from any surface then keep on reading!

How To Remove Beet Stains From Clothes?

Start with removing any beet pieces by scooping them with a spoon. Then you need to blot the excess juice with a paper towel.

Continue with turning the clothing item inside out then flushing it with cold water.

Then treat the stain with laundry detergent. Rub it in with your finger and leave for a few minutes before throwing the garment in your washing machine and washing as usual.

How To Remove Beet Stains From Upholstery/ Carpets?

Again, carefully pick up the beet pieces by scooping them with a spoon.

Then mix one-part ammonia with eight parts warm water. Dip a cloth in the mixture and treat the stain with it.

Repeat this until the stain is removed then rinse with water and allow it to air-dry.

How To Remove Beet Stains From Your Hands?

When preparing any meal or salad with beets you know that your hands will turn its pinkish-red colour.

In order to remove it, you need to pour a little bit of lemon juice on your hands then rinse. Repeat these steps a few time!
